STEAC Member: Dr. Alan Hastings, University of California, Davis

Dr. Alan Hastings is a Professor in the Department of Environmental Science and Policy, and a member of the Center for Population Biology at the University of California, Davis. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Cornell University. Dr. Hastings is interested in a range of topics in theoretical ecology and population biology, and more generally in mathematical biology. He is Editor-in-Chief of the journal Theoretical Ecology (Springer), and Co-Editor of the Journal of Mathematical Biology (Springer-Verlag). He also authored the textbook, Population Biology: Concepts and Models (Springer, 1997).
