Frank Davis is a professor of applied ecology at the Donald Bren School of Environmental Science and Management, University of California, Santa Barbara. His ecological research has focused on the coupling of ecological pattern and process in California oak woodland and chaparral ecosystems. His research in conservation planning includes integrating remote sensing and GIS for biodiversity risk assessment and application of decision theory to land use planning and reserve network design.
