Johannes Feddema

Johannes Feddema is a Professor in the Department of Geography at the University of Kansas in Lawrence. His primary research interest is in understanding human impacts on the Earth’s surface and their consequences for the environment. Dr. Feddema is focused particularly on understanding anthropogenic impacts on climate, and how climate change affects the environment and society. His recent research efforts aim to simulate human impacts in large-scale climate models. Dr. Feddema is currently collaborating with researchers at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) to develop an urban model within the NCAR Community Land Model; he is also building the accompanying datasets to drive such models. Dr. Feddema serves NEON as Chair of the Land Use Analysis Package tiger team.
