Anthony Joern is a Professor in the Division of Biology at Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas. In 1977 he earned his Ph.D. in Zoology/Population Biology-Insect Ecology from the University of Texas, Austin. His research interests include insect community ecology, insect/plant interactions, and grassland ecology. He has served as Faculty Associate for both the Konza Prairie LTER and the Sevilleta LTER. In 2007, he was team leader for NEON site review visits to the Yellowstone and the Conservation Research Center candidate sites.
