Brian Kloeppel

Brian Kloeppel is an Assistant Research Scientist at the University of Georgia and Site Director of the Coweeta LTER site in Otto, North Carolina. His research interests include: boundary layer meterology, remote sensing using LIDAR, flux measurement methods, and interactions among ecosystem processes and boundary layer development. As Co-Lead Principal Investigator at Coweeta, Dr. Kloeppel specializes in forest processes. He has also led the Coweeta LTER Schoolyard Education Initiative, which links scholarly research with outreach and education at the 6th grade, high school, and community college levels. Dr. Kloeppel served as member of the NEON site review team that visited the Conservation Research Center and Yellowstone candidate core sites.
