William Lauenroth

William Lauenroth is a Professor in the Graduate Degree Program in Ecology and the Department of Forest, Rangeland, and Watershed Stewardship at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. He earned his BS in Range Management at Humbolt State University, an MS in Botany from North Dakota State University, and Ph.D. in Range Science from Colorado State University. Dr. Lauenroth has published extensively in scientific journals and contributed to four books on ecosystem science. He is a member of the Ecological Society of America and AAAS, and has served on the editorial boards of a variety of publications devoted to ecological science. Between 1994 and 1998 he was heavily involved in the Global Change and Terrestrial Ecosystems core project of the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme. He has served NEON as a member of the Fundamental Instrument Unit tiger team.
