David Mogk is a professor of geology at Montana State University. He holds a B.S. in Geology from the University of Michigan, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Washington. He is a member of the EarthScope Science and Education Advisory Board. Dr. Mogk has also worked on the development of the Digital Library of Earth System Education (DLESE) and the National Science Digital Library (NSDL). His research interests include the evolution of ancient continental crust in southwestern Montana, petrologic processes in the mid-crust, and the search for life in extreme environments. In 2007, he served as a member of the NEON Education Tiger Team.
