John C. Moore served NEON in 2007 as a member of the Education tiger team. He is a Research Scientist at Colorado State University, where he earned his Ph.D. in 1988. He is also Director of the university’s Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory (NREL). The goal of NREL is to increase the fundamental understanding of the environment through collaborative application of ecology and ecosystem principles that contribute to policy and management decisions promoting sustainability. Dr. Moore’s research interests encompass theoretical ecology, systems ecology, food web dynamics, and soil ecology.
