Jack Morgan is a Supervisory Plant Physiologist with the USDA Agricultural Research Service, where he has worked in the Crops Research Laboratory and Rangeland Resources Research Unit in Fort Collins, Colorado. He is also co-PI of the Shortgrass Steppe LTER program. Dr. Morgan, an expert in global change and C cycling in rangelands, collaborated with colleagues at Colorado State University on a study (published in the April 2007 issue of New Phytologist) that focused on the impacts of global warming on grassland quality.
