
Osvaldo Sala is Sloan Lindemann Distinguished Professor of Biology at Brown University. He is also Director of the University’s Center for Environmental Studies and its Environmental Change Initiative. He earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in Ecology at Colorado State University. His research projects include biodiversity and ecosystem functioning: a comprehensive study of grasslands, savannas, and forests, and ecosystem responses to stratospheric ozone reduction in Tierra del Fuego, South America.
